Fox News Channel concluded a momentous election week as the top-watched network on television.
Fox News Channel had an average of 2.6 million viewers throughout the day during the week of November 4-10, being the only cable network to exceed 1 million viewers. Fox News surpassed MSNBC, with a 2.6 million average compared to MSNBC’s 967,000 total day viewers.
CNN, struggling with ratings, only managed to attract 720,000 viewers, finishing fourth behind ESPN.
During the prime time hours of 8-11 p.m., Fox News surged ahead with an average of 4.3 million viewers, doubling the audience of ESPN, which came in second with a 2.1 million average.

MSNBC ended with an average of 1.5 million primetime viewers, while CNN settled for 1.2 million. Fox News outperformed the liberal networks combined.
This week marked Fox News Channel’s best performance in viewership since November 2020, capturing a dominant 61% share of the cable news audience during the election week.
Fox News also outshone broadcast competitors in weekday primetime viewership, averaging 5.4 million viewers to beat ABC, CBS, and NBC.
Fox News also excelled among adults aged 25-54, averaging 472,000 total day viewers and 872,000 during primetime, surpassing MSNBC and CNN in both categories.

FOX News Media’s election night coverage gathered nearly 13.6 million viewers and 4.4 million in the key demo, surpassing all other television networks.
Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum’s “Democracy 2024” prime time coverage on Fox News gathered nearly 10.3 million total viewers and 3.1 million in the key demo, surpassing ABC, NBC, CBS, and all cable news networks for the second time.

MSNBC has seen a sharp decline in viewership following Election Day, while Fox News shows broke multiple records during the historic week.
“The Five” achieved an average of 5.3 million total viewers and 726,000 in the key demo, making it the top show on television.
