Fox News star Sean Hannity has made headlines by purchasing a stunning $23.5 million waterfront estate in Palm Beach County, Florida, as reported by The Wall Street Journal on Tuesday.
This move follows his earlier announcement this year about relocating from New York to Florida, where he now broadcasts his radio show, “The Sean Hannity Show,” and TV program, “Hannity,” from West Palm Beach.
During a January episode of his iHeartRadio show, Hannity explained that his decision to move to Florida was based on his displeasure with the political policies in New York, as mentioned in a report from Realtor.com.
“For the first time in my adult life, I actually have representatives in the state that I’m living in that share my values,” he stated. “Like many Americans, I left New York for good and am now in a state with warm weather, law and order, better education, more freedom, better quality of life – and no state income tax.”
The newly acquired estate, located in the exclusive Manalapan area, was initially listed for $29 million in February and later relisted for $29.5 million, according to the property’s listing.
Gary Pohrer and Nicholas Malinosky of the Exclusive Group at Douglas Elliman represented the listing, while Vince Spadea of Elliman represented Hannity in the purchase.
Although the seller remains anonymous, the WSJ disclosed that the property was bought through a limited liability company for $18 million in 2021.
The home features dual waterfront views with 150 feet of frontage on the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway.
The nearly two-acre property includes a private beach house spanning about 12,000 square feet, offering eight bedrooms, including a luxurious primary wing, 10 full bathrooms, a spacious kitchen with dual islands, and opulent outdoor living spaces with a resort-style pool and spa.
The estate, constructed around 1990, has been extensively renovated since the 2021 purchase, with some local real estate agents suggesting that some might view the property as a teardown and choose to demolish it to make room for a more contemporary and grand structure, as reported by The WSJ.
Recent updates to the property include a new cooler in the wine room, new impact sliders throughout, remodeled bathrooms, new flooring in several areas, new skylights, and a refinishing of the pool with new water line tile, according to the listing.
It remains uncertain whether Hannity plans to reside in the estate alone or with his two children. Earlier this year, he sold his waterfront property in Oyster Bay, Long Island, for around $12.7 million to a fan. Additionally, in 2021, Hannity acquired a Palm Beach condo for $5.3 million.
