Fresh Tracks: Cynthia Erivo, Lana Del Rey, Blake Shelton, Bon Iver, JENNIE, Shaboozey and More Drop New Music on April 11

Happy New Music Friday! The weekend is here, which means more streaming, new playlists and the best that music has to offer — and ET has you covered for everything in between.

Jennifer Lopez will host and perform at the 2025 American Music Awards airing May 26 on CBS and Paramount+. This marks her second time hosting the awards, a role she first took on in 2015. Jay Penske, CEO of Dick Clark Productions said, “We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer Lopez back to host the American Music Awards. Jennifer’s incredible talent and incomparable stage presence makes her the ideal host of the show. We know she will bring her one-of-a-kind energy to the official kick-off celebration of summer.”

BET Media Group revealed the first wave of talent and programming for BET Experience 2025, a multi-day celebration showcasing the best in music, culture and community. It will take place June 5-8, head of Culture’s Biggest night, BET Awards 2025. BET Experience: Buju Banton kicks off the festivities on June 5 with a performance at the Hollywood Palladium. The Roots Picnic will return to the Hollywood Bowl on June 8 for A Roots Picnic Experience: Class of ’95 that will feature The Roots, Lil’ Kim, Redman & Method Man, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Raekwon, Goodie Mob, E-40, DJ Quik and Havoc. BET will also present BET R&B Night at the YouTube Theater on June 8, showcasing a night of performances by Jagged Edge, Donell Jones, Eric Bellinger, Tiára Monique and JABARI. BET Awards 2025 will air June 9.

Shakira announced that special guest Wyclef Jean will join her for her highly anticipated tour stops in Charlotte, NC on May 13 and Boston, MA on May 29. The shows are part of her Las Mujeres Ya no Lloran World Tour, which kicked off its North American leg and follows her successful Latin American stadium leg of the tour. Shakira and Wyclef teamed up on the 2006 hit “Hips Don’t Lie.” Last Month, Shakira secured the #1 spot on Billboard’s Top Tours chart for the first time in her career, becoming the first Latin female artist to achieve this milestone.

j-hope of BTS wrapped his first ever solo tour tour, HOPE ON THE STAGE with two headlining shows at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on April 4 and 6. The Los Angeles shows marked the final stop of the North American leg of his tour. He made history becoming the first South Korean male artist ever to headline a stadium concert in North America. j-hope performed songs from his first solo album, Jack In The Box and his latest singles “MONA LISA” and “Sweet Dreams.” Miguel made a surprise appearance for a special performance of “Sweet Dreams” on April 4. j-hope has been active in the overall planning, composition and direction of the concert and will continue his tour in Asia until June.

FINNEAS has teamed up with Apple Music for an exclusive 3-song EP recorded in Spatial Audio. Apple Music Nashville Sessions features special live acoustic performances of “Starfucker” and “Same Old Story” from his album, For Cryin’ Out Loud! and features special guest singer Kacey Musgraves, who performs with FINNEAS on “Giver / Taker” from her album, Deeper Well.

Rap icon Ice Cube is set to be immortalized in cement at TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on April 15. He will leave his mark in Hollywood at a historic handprint-footprint ceremony and is expected to make a special Truth to Power announcement. Ice Cube is a multi-hyphenate international music, film and sports legend who has sold tens of millions of albums and his films have grossed over $1 billion at the box office with franchises such as “Friday,” “Barbershop,” “21 Jump Street” and more.

Luke Combs will kick off grand opening celebrations for his bar, Category 10 with an exclusive performance on April 15. Luke’s concert will kick off a week-long grand opening celebration from April 16 to 19 that will feature giveaways, prizes, Luke Combs themed activations, performances from local artists and DJs, and a special performance from Luke Combs UK, a Luke Combs tribute band. This celebration marks the first time Luke has taken the stage at Hurricane Hall for a full set since his fans were treated to a private concert last fall for the venue’s soft opening. Luke said, “I am pumped that The Eye rooftop is now open, and that Category 10 is officially ready for a summer in Nashville! The first weekend of Coachella kicks off April 11 with headliners Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone and Travis Scott. Other performers include Charli xcx, JENNIE, Ed Sheeran, Megan Thee Stallion, GloRilla, Muni Long, Benson Boone, LISA, Missy Elliott, Tyla, Shaboozey and more.

Lady Gaga has announced her first Australian shows in 11 years and her first-ever stadium dates in the country on The MAYHEM Ball tour. Following her headlining sets at Coachella, stadium shows in Mexico City and Singapore and free concert in Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Gaga will kick off her tour on July 16 in Las Vegas and continue with dates across North America, Europe and the UK.

Bon Iver has released a new album, SABLE, fABLE, which was primarily recorded at Justin Vernon’s April base in Wisconsin. Justin sat down with one of his biggest fans, Lil Yachty for an episode of Spotify’s Countdown To. In the episode, Justin talked about his songwriting process and shared that SABLE, fABLE is his favorite project and is a true reflection of where he is at and who he is.

Ed Sheeran released a loop pedal performance of his new song “Azizam” which was filmed on the rooftop of a spice market in Old Delhi, India. Taking the title from a Persian term of endearment that means “my dear” or “my beloved,” Ed’s new song is a return to joy, to light, to love and to fun. Ed said, “Even though it’s completely different to anything that I’ve ever done before, Azizam feels familiar to me. I wanted to create a party atmosphere in a song and Ilya Salmanzadeh, who I worked with on the track, helped bring that to life. He was so inspiring to work with.”
