Giggly Squad’s Hannah Berner Joins LadyGang Podcasters for the Ultimate Girls’ Trip (Exclusive)

NEED TO KNOW

  • The women behind the LadyGang podcast have announced an IRL event celebrating everything from friendship to wellness to nostalgic pop music
  • Speaking to PEOPLE, entertainment journalist and LadyGang pod co-host Keltie Knight says LadyWorld will offer something for everyone
  • “I’ve been to all the getting-to-know-you, networking, wearing a suit events. Those are great but at some point, I want to just not wear a bra and be in flip-flops, sitting in a cove, eating a churro and watching Mark McGrath sing the songs he sang to me on my CD player when I was a teenager,” she says
  • PEOPLE can exclusively announce that comedian and Giggly Squad podcast co-host Hannah Berner and the comedy podcast duo behind Girls Gotta Eat are the newest additions to the weekend’s lineup

Millennials, podcast-lovers and fans of ’90s boy bands rejoice — now, there’s a way to fully immerse yourself in the world of the LadyGang.

Actress Becca Tobin, entertainment journalist Keltie Knight and branding entrepreneur Jac Vanek — the trio behind the LadyGang podcast — have announced a three-day, nostalgia-fueled event that covers everything from yoga with your girls to early aughts pop music.

Held September 26-28 in Miramar Beach, Florida, LadyWorld, presented in partnership with e.l.f. Cosmetics, offers a chance for fans of the pod to get together in real life via daytime and nighttime events like beachside soundbaths, pilates, appearances by reality show personalities like Stassi Schroeder — plus concerts by the likes of Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray, Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC, O-Town, LFO and BBMak.

The trio also announced two new additions to the LadyWorld lineup exclusively to PEOPLE — comedian and Giggly Squad podcast host Hannah Berner and the comedy podcast duo behind Girls Gotta Eat, Rayna Greenberg and Ashley Hesseltine.

“Literally we had a lineup change in our group chat we thought, ‘What about Hannah Berner?’ ” Knight says. “Hannah wrote back in ten seconds and was like, ‘Duh I’m in, doesn’t matter.’ ”

And to be clear: A traditional networking event, this is not.

“LaydWorld is a vacation,” Knight, who launched the podcast with Tobin and Vanek in 2015, tells PEOPLE with a laugh. “This is not a place that you’re going to go to figure out how to ask your boss for a raise.”

She continues: “I’ve been to all the getting-to-know-you, networking, wearing a suit events. Those are great but at some point, I want to just not wear a bra and be in flip-flops, sitting in a cove, eating a churro and watching Mark McGrath sing the songs he sang to me on my CD player when I was a teenager.”

The flip-flop-and-churro vibe will be abundant at LadyWorld, which takes place beachside, with attendees offered the option to reserve a condo just a short walk from the ocean, venue and event activities. As Knight explains, there will even be a food delivery service, so participants can order guacamole directly to their seats.

“We all need a vacation but we don’t want to plan a vacation,” says Knight. “I loved summer camp when I was a kid for that reason — you get there, they tell you what time to wake up, what time to go to sleep… You know you’ll have friendship and fun, but it’s very low lift.”

While “low lift,” LadyWorld also offers plenty of fun in the form of pickleball and beach yoga, gifting suites and horoscope readings, and live podcast recordings.

The LadyGang podcasters — who tout over 250 million downloads, 163K Instagram followers and one New York Times best-selling advice book — recently headlined their “You Never Forget Your First” tour, filled with costumes, contests, trivia, plus dancing and singing.

This event adds even more to the mix, spreading the fun into three full days, Knight notes. The beauty, though, is that activities are pick-and-choose.

“It’s a one stop shop,” she adds. “Friday, Saturday, Sunday, you can do as much or as little as you want. But from 9 AM to 10 PM, something is going on — makeup tutorials with E.L.F. Cosmetics, cocktail-mixing classes, yoga and pilates on the beach. It’s everything you could ever want and you come to the festival grounds at night and just sit in a chair. I am frankly too old to be in the hot weather in an uncomfortable outfit standing all day at Coachella. But a chair on the beach, I can do.”

Tickets to the event start at $300 for a three-day pass.

Says Knight: “For $300, you get a choose-your-own-adventure summer camp for millennials. Plus, one member of *NSYNC.”
