Grand Island Business Makes Comeback One Month After Devastating Flood

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) – While some businesses recovered quickly, one is now ready to reopen its doors.

Active Family Chiropractic & Acupuncture was among the many shops damaged by the flooding in Grand Island last June.

Jenna Rivera, Director of Operations, was one of the first people on June 26 assess the damage to their equipment and worked alongside coworkers to move as much as possible out of the water.

This forced them to relocate their practice to a building on Webb Road, which created tight spaces and limited work areas.

However, this situation is coming to an end as they plan to reopen their Dier Avenue location soon.

“Believe it or not, I amazed myself with this,” Rivera said about the building’s current condition. “If we have to work around the clock to make it happen, we will.”

After nearly a month of hard work, they plan to host their grand reopening on Monday, July 28.
