J’Wan Roberts scored 24 points, with six in two overtime periods, leading No. 7 Houston to a 92-86 victory over No. 12 Kansas on Saturday night.
Roberts made two crucial free throws with 13.9 seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game. Houston (16-3, 8-0 Big 12) then received consecutive 3-pointers from Emanuel Sharp and Mylik Wilson in the first overtime to force a second overtime.
Wilson contributed 18 points while Milos Uzan added 17 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists for the Cougars.
Kansas (14-5, 5-3) saw Flory Bidunga with 19 points and Hunter Dickinson with 17 points as their top scorers.

Houston faced challenges due to injuries. Despite playing 25 minutes, Sharp only managed to score eight points after missing the previous game against Utah. Ja’Vier Francis rolled his ankle early in the first half and played limited minutes, finishing with four points.
