Intel secures a victory with its GPU as Arc B580 sells out following glowing reviews

Intel is facing significant challenges this year, but their discrete graphics card project has finally yielded a noteworthy success. The $250 Arc B580 “Battlemage” GPU has been met with widespread acclaim, selling out in most locations. Intel has assured The Verge that they are working to restock units weekly, despite our inability to review the product due to unforeseen circumstances.

“There is a high demand for Arc B580 graphics cards, and many retailers have already sold out of their initial stock. We anticipate weekly replenishments of the Intel Arc B580 Limited Edition card and are collaborating with partners to ensure consistent availability in the market,” explained Intel spokesperson Mark Anthony Ramirez to The Verge.

To provide some context, here are a few headlines from reviews of the Arc B580:

While the B580 doesn’t outperform the 4060 and 7600 in every game, particularly for gamers at 1080p resolution, it generally maintains an edge. The drivers appear to be more refined compared to Intel’s previous efforts, and the lower price point and 12GB of video RAM make it a compelling option.

Unfortunately, finding the card at the $250 price point may be a challenge due to its rapid sell-out. Notably, Hardware Unboxed’s Steve Walton does not believe this is a “paper launch,” as he has been informed by industry sources that the supply of the card is substantial.
