Five staff members at one of northern Gaza’s last functioning hospitals have been killed during Israel’s genocide, including a doctor, a laboratory technician, and two maintenance workers, as another baby freezes to death.
According to Hussam Abu Safia, the head of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya, the casualties from the attack included a doctor.
Al Jazeera’s Hind Khoudary, reporting from central Gaza, mentioned that a laboratory technician and two maintenance workers were among the victims of the assault.
Khoudary also highlighted that the hospital, already operating with minimal resources and lacking medical supplies, has been continuously targeted by Israeli forces.
Due to near daily attacks, the hospital is currently nonoperational. Previously, Israeli forces killed the ICU director and wounded many medical staff in and around the facility.
Khoudary explained that Palestinian rescue workers have been unable to retrieve the bodies of those killed at the hospital, emphasizing the ongoing violence in northern Gaza.

The World Health Organization has expressed concern over the appalling conditions at Kamal Adwan Hospital, operating at a minimum level.
