Living under the constant threat of Israeli bombardment, children in Gaza face unimaginable hardship. The short film Soft Skin portrays the sacrifices mothers must make in preparation for the worst-case scenario and the lasting psychological effects it has on their children. This film is part of From Ground Zero, a collection of 22 short films created in Gaza by Palestinian director Rashid Masharawi, aiming to shed light on the untold stories of the ongoing conflict. From Ground Zero has been selected as the official submission of Palestine in the International Feature Film category at the 97th Academy Awards.
