Jasmine Crockett questions the trans athlete debate: ‘What is the purpose?’

Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-TX, included individuals concerned about excluding trans athletes from women’s and girls’ sports in her list of targets for criticism.

During an interview with The 19th last week, Crockett labeled discussions about trans inclusion in women’s and girls’ sports as a “distraction,” downplaying the potential impact they may have on the lives of women and families. Crockett made these remarks while criticizing Democrats for their division on the issue.

“In this election, we allowed ourselves to be divided. We allowed them to distract us, and we allowed them to talk about the trans folk,” Crockett said. “According to them, the trans kids, they want to play sports. At the same time, Crockett may face censure over recent comments regarding Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

A GOP lawmaker is seeking to formally rebuke Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, in the House of Representatives for what appeared to be mocking Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s disability. Rep. Randy Weber, R-Texas, indicated he would introduce a censure resolution after Crockett referred to the wheelchair-bound Abbot as “Governor Hot Wheels” during an event held by the Human Rights Campaign over the weekend.

This week, Crockett also expressed her birthday wish for Elon Musk to be “taken down” and mentioned that Democrats need to be prepared to “punch” when referring to Sen. Ted Cruz, R-TX.

“It’s Ted Cruz. I mean, this dude has to be knocked over the head, like hard, right? Like there is no…
