Jay-Z has addressed a civil lawsuit accusing him and Diddy of raping a 13-year-old girl.
The accuser, referred to as Jane Doe in the legal documents, filed a sexual assault lawsuit initially against Diddy in October, then added Jay-Z as a defendant in December.
In the lawsuit, Doe alleges that the two musicians raped her at a house party after the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards in New York City.
Diddy was previously arrested in September on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering and remains in jail awaiting trial in May.
The lawsuit states that “Defendant Sean Combs, along with his longtime friend and collaborator Shawn Carter (a/k/a ‘JayZ’), drugged and raped a thirteen-year-old girl at an afterparty following the 2000 Video Music Awards.”
Added Jay-Z, “You have made a terrible error in judgment thinking that all ‘celebrities’ are the same. I’m not from your world.”
Previously, Diddy’s lawyers denied the same allegation stating “Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone — man or woman, adult or minor.”
