Kamala Harris Withholds Policy Positions, News Conferences, and Interviews for 35 Days

Vice President Kamala Harris has refrained from providing specific policy details to voters for the past five weeks. She has not held any news conferences or participated in major interviews since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee.

Despite officially accepting the nomination at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) and being active on the campaign trail, Harris has avoided substantial questions since joining the ticket last month.

With the conclusion of the party’s national convention, speculation on when Harris will end her media blackout is expected to increase as Americans are eager to learn about her stance on various contentious issues, such as fracking, border security, and private health insurance.

Despite stating on August 9 that she aimed to schedule an interview before the end of the month, Harris has not announced any interview plans with just over a week left until September arrives.

When asked by Fox News’ Peter Doocy on Thursday night if she was prepared for a Fox News interview following her scripted DNC speech, Harris laughed and said, “I’m working towards it.”

Amid other questions on Thursday night such as “how do you feel tonight?” after her convention acceptance speech, Harris replied, “I feel good, now onto tomorrow,” with a laugh.
