Kimberly Rowland, associate professor in the College of Arts and Sciences, participated in her third 2025 Tech Trek Camps hosted by the American Association of University Women. Held at Florida Atlantic University’s honors college in Jupiter, the summer camp welcomed middle school girls from across Florida who were interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Rowland facilitated two workshops studying Drosophila (a genus of fruit flies) genetics and behavior. She helped guide the students through real research experiments, data collection and analysis.Â
