LeBron James achieved a triple-double with 35 points, 14 assists, and 12 rebounds for the third consecutive game as the Los Angeles Lakers came from behind to defeat the Memphis Grizzlies 128-123 on Wednesday night.
Anthony Davis contributed 21 points, with 11 of them scored in the fourth quarter. Despite getting his fifth foul in the third quarter, Davis returned to the game and made crucial baskets, including a 3-pointer that gave the Lakers a lead of 111-108 with 4:51 remaining.
James had an impressive shooting performance, going 13 of 22 from the field and hitting 4 of 7 3-pointers.
Jaren Jackson Jr. led Memphis with 29 points, ending their three-game winning streak.
Rookies Dalton Knecht and Rui Hachimura each added 19 points for the Lakers.
The Lakers were down 96-91 at the end of the third quarter but started the fourth quarter with a 10-2 run. The lead changed hands several times before Davis’ crucial 3-pointer.
