LG’s latest OLED TVs for 2025 are its most impressive yet, but there is a possibility of going too far with AI integration.

When it comes to TV production, LG seems to excel consistently. Each year, their OLED sets receive top recommendations from reviewers. Overcoming the brightness issue of older models, recent innovations like Micro Lens Array have made the G3 and G4 bright enough to enhance HDR in any viewing setting.

LG’s 2025 OLED TV lineup continues to raise the bar. At the forefront is the M5 series, featuring the Zero Connect Box for wireless connectivity to external devices. Available in sizes ranging from 65 to 97 inches, the M5 showcases advancements in wireless connections. However, the G-series remains the more practical flagship for consumers.

The G5 model is even brighter this year, with LG’s Brightness Booster Ultimate technology delivering three times higher brightness than conventional OLED models. Accompanied by a refresh rate of 165Hz and sizes up to 83 inches, the G5 promises a new level of gameplay smoothness, particularly for PC users.

LG’s premium models feature the Alpha 11 Gen 2 processor for enhanced image processing and upscaling. These advancements aim to improve the viewing experience, especially for lower-bitrate content. Additionally, LG is introducing new AI features across its lineup, providing consumers with a range of smart functionalities.

Goodbye inputs button, hello endless AI features

LG’s Magic Remote for 2025 no longer includes a dedicated inputs button, instead opting for a multi-functional Home Hub button. The integration of AI features like AI Picture Pro and AI Sound Pro enhance the overall viewing and listening experience.

LG’s emphasis on AI extends to a new remote branding, the introduction of a chatbot, and collaborations with third-party AI services like Microsoft’s Copilot. While these advancements offer added convenience, there is a concern about overcrowding the user experience with excessive AI integration.

Despite the advancements in AI and software updates, user preferences may still lean towards alternative interfaces for daily use. The true test of LG’s AI integration will come when the new OLED models become available, allowing customers to evaluate the balance between smart features and user experience.
