“Morning Joe” co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski sparked controversy on the left when they revealed they had a private meeting with President-elect Donald Trump last week.
“Joe and I visited Mar-a-Lago to meet with President-elect Trump,” Brzezinski informed viewers of the encounter that occurred on Friday. “It was our first time seeing him in seven years.”
Scarborough mentioned that there were disagreements on several issues such as abortion, mass deportation, and threats against political opponents and media organizations. They made it clear where they stood on these matters during the meeting.
The purpose of the meeting, according to the hosts, was to “restart communications.” Trump seemed optimistic and interested in finding common ground with Democrats on major issues.
Despite this, the admission from the vocal Trump critics angered liberals, who took to social media to criticize them as “grifters” and “cowards.”

“BREAKING NEWS: I TOLD YOU SO,” former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann remarked, labeling the pair as “Trump collaborators.”
“Not a word Mr. and Mrs. Vichy Quisling utter can be trusted anymore – not that their words should have been trusted in the first place. They are confidence tricksters – and grifters,” Olbermann noted.
