Kingsbury Companies, LLC has donated $5,000 to Green Mountain Technology & Career Center’s construction program as part of its ongoing commitment to workforce development and career readiness in Vermont and the surrounding region.
This contribution will help fund equipment and supplies for students preparing for careers in the trades, including personal protective equipment, work boots, clothing and hand and power tools.
“As a company built on integrity, adaptability, and efficiency, we recognize that the future of our industry depends on investing in the next generation of skilled professionals,” Izzy Ellner of Kingsbury Companies said. “We believe that career and technical centers are the foundation for preparing students to enter the workforce ready, safe, and confident.”
Kingsbury Companies is a civil and environmental contractor serving Vermont, New Hampshire and New York. It specializes in construction projects including water and wastewater infrastructure, site development, and renewable energy.
As part of its workforce development mission, Kingsbury has launched a two-year craft construction apprenticeship program and currently has five apprentices enrolled.
