Man, woman accused of breaking into vehicle at Mobile business

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A man and woman face charges after they allegedly tried to steal a vehicle from a Mobile business.

Joshua Dowden, 46, of Anacoco, La., and Sharla Daire-Brady, 43, of Tallahassee, were booked into the Mobile County Metro Jail Wednesday morning. Each faces a charge of unlawful breaking and entering into a vehicle.

About 8 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to BLP Paints, 3061 Dauphin St., and found that two people had gotten into an unlocked company vehicle and damaged the steering column while trying to steal it, according to the Mobile Police Department. The suspects were identified and found a short time later in the 100 block of East Interstate 65 Service Road.

They have bond hearings schedule for Friday, jail records show.
