As part of our initiative to expand our expert content on current affairs, we are looking to build a team of volunteer editors focused on the Middle East. This role is great for those interested in academia, policymaking, or non-state sectors, offering valuable experience, skills development, and networking opportunities.
About the Role
We are seeking students with a keen interest in the Middle East, as well as theoretical or country-specific knowledge. Examples of past topics include gender politics in Islam, nuclear proliferation in the Saudi-Iranian rivalry, and more. We encourage diverse interests related to the Middle East for this role.
Our mission at E-International Relations is to make expert content accessible and readable. As the only open access and diverse scholarly publication, we welcome all voices and aim to facilitate global dialogue on Middle East affairs.
How it Works
This editorial role involves commissioning and editing content rather than writing it. It is a remote and voluntary position that allows you to set your agenda and work at your own pace. You will research and contact expert authors, receive guidance from us, and see your efforts credited in our publications.
What You Get
Volunteering with us offers networking opportunities, skill development, and insights into the academic and publishing industries. You can build your profile, improve your editorial skills, and enhance your CV. This role can lead to future opportunities in academia, politics, and publishing.
If you are interested in becoming a Middle East Editor, please email us at recruitment.e.ir@gmail.com with the subject ‘Middle East Editor’ and include information about your academic background, content ideas, writing sample, CV, and availability.
