“American Pickers” star Mike Wolfe shared his heartfelt final moments with Frank Fritz before Fritz’s passing.
Wolfe, 60, and Fritz, childhood friends of over 40 years, co-hosted the History Channel series for a decade before their falling-out in 2020. Fortunately, they reconciled before Fritz’s death at 60 from stroke complications in September.
Recalling the moments leading up to Fritz’s passing in an interview with People magazine, Wolfe described rushing to be by his friend’s side, holding his hand, and closing his eyes as he took his last breath.
Wolfe shared that he, along with Fritz’s mother and her best friend Annette, offered loving words to Fritz before his passing, urging him to find peace with his mother.
Reflecting on their friendship, Wolfe praised Fritz’s work ethic, humor, and sensitivity on and off camera. He also acknowledged the challenges Fritz faced, including addiction, which strained their relationship.
