Now in its third year, the event is organised by Kate Corcoran of Yay Wirral and Jess Waring of This Side of the Water and supported by Wirral Council. More than 150 local businesses are taking part.
Set on the original site of the legendary Wirral Show, the festival offers ‘an inclusive and welcoming environment filled with things to see, do and taste’.
What’s on?
The event promises ‘entertainment for all ages’. The family main Stage will host tribute acts including Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Mr Tumble Liverpool, Disney Princess Show and viral favourites like Danny Go! tribute Miss Rachel and Wicked.
Community performers and Britain’s Got Talent stars The Mersey Girls will also appear.
For ‘older kids and thrill-seekers’, the Game Zone will feature a 400ft zip wire, axe throwing, mini golf and rodeo rides. There will also be slime-making, donkey rides, bubble shows and sand art.
The funfair features the UK’s largest single-trailer Big Wheel, and a fully-staffed Sensory Zone providing ‘a quiet, calming space for families who need it’.
The festival is sponsored by a range of local businesses including Village Hotel Bromborough, Castle Carpets Wallasey, and Roganz Waste.
Kate Corcoran said: “We’re so proud of what this event has become.
“Our goal has always been to fill the void left by the Wirral Show and create a vibrant, free space where the entire community can come together — all while showcasing the amazing talent and creativity right here in our local area.”
If you fancy something to eat . . .
Visitors can look forward to ‘an eclectic mix of food and drink’, with standout favourites like Parkgate Fish and Chips, Chip’d and Nanny Pearl’s Caribbean Kitchen, alongside exciting new names including Hash Brown Town and West Kirby’s Seafood Shack.
With a focus on accessibility, traders are offering options for vegan, gluten-free and neurodivergent-friendly “beige” foods to ensure everyone feels catered for.
A new addition this year is the Talloulah’s Emporium Garden Bar, which will feature craft beers, gins, cocktails and fizz with live DJ sets from The Medicine Men daily.
Co-organiser Jess Waring said: “This isn’t just an event — it’s a movement.
