These are exciting times for Nottingham Forest. The last time they had such a winning streak in the top division, they were champions of Europe.
There is a growing belief that their current string of victories could lead them back to that level, especially after a 3-0 win against Wolves on Monday Night Football – their sixth consecutive Premier League win.
They are achieving success in their own unique way, averaging two points per game despite having less possession than any other team in the Premier League. Perhaps it’s because of their lack of possession that they excel at counter-attacking.
The first two goals at Molineux were scored on the counter by Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Wood. Despite having only 39.5% possession and fewer shots, they still managed to dominate.

“It would be absolutely incredible. First and foremost, just for the fans. There would be a few that would be able to experience it twice so be able to give them that opportunity is what we really want to do as a club.
“We believe in it, but we can’t get ahead of ourselves.
“We’re taking each training session, each opponent as it comes. There’s a lot of belief in the group and with the fans.
“There’s a lot of high expectation from the fans as well and that’s what drives us on. We keep taking it game by game and see where it gets us.
“Tonight [against Wolves] was a tough one. When we had our chances, we took them and that’s been the difference with us this season – we’ve been clinical when we need to be. We’re good at managing games now so credit to the boys. We’re deservedly in the position we’re in.”

Nuno won’t check table until end of the season
