Novant Health Launches Innovative Pancreatic Cancer Screening Program


A Triad healthcare system is offering a personalized, comprehensive way to help detect and treat pancreatic cancer. She told WXII that for people who have a personal or family history of cancer, the program brings together multiple specialists into one appointment. Our genetic counselor goes as well as our dietician, and we see the patients right there in that provider’s office where they would be getting their G.I. care.”She said because they use genetic testing, you can expect a personalized treatment plan, and any potential risks other family members may have. “Whenever somebody tests positive through our clinic, we find out that they have hereditary risk,” she said. “It’s going to impact all of your biological relatives.
