The Trump administration is quickly taking shape with some recent appointments. President-elect Donald Trump has chosen Brooke Rollins as his nominee for agriculture secretary. Rollins previously served as a policy adviser in the first Trump administration and has been leading a think tank that aligns closely with Trump’s agenda.
Other appointments also provide insights into Trump’s governance approach. Russ Vought has been selected to lead the Office of Management and Budget, a crucial role in managing federal spending. Vought was a key figure behind Project 2025, a conservative initiative for a potential second Trump administration that drew attention during the campaign. Trump stated that Vought will work to “dismantle the deep state.”
Sebastian Gorka’s nomination as the new senior director for counterterrorism is also significant. Gorka previously served as a counterterrorism adviser in Trump’s White House. Despite allegations by congressional Democrats linking Gorka to antisemitic groups in Hungary, Gorka has denied any connections.
