Connections: Sports Edition is a new version of the popular New York Times word game that aims to challenge the knowledge of sports fans.
Similar to the original Connections, the game revolves around discovering the “common threads between words.” Just like Wordle, Connections resets daily, with each new set of words becoming more challenging. To help you navigate through, we’ve included hints and tips to boost your gameplay.

What is Connections Sports Edition?
The latest daily word game from NYT has been released in partnership with The Athletic, the sports coverage arm of The New York Times. Connections can be enjoyed on both web browsers and mobile devices, challenging players to group four words with a shared attribute.
Each puzzle contains 16 words segmented into four categories. These groupings can range from book titles to software to country names, and more. While multiple words may appear to fit together, only one is the correct match.
Correctly identifying all four words in a set removes them from the board, but an incorrect guess counts as a mistake. Players have up to four mistakes before the game concludes.
Players can rearrange and shuffle the board to facilitate identifying connections. Additionally, each group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Similar to Wordle, results can be shared with friends on social media.
