The renowned mansion of Michael Jordan in the Chicago area found a buyer in late 2024 after more than a decade on the market. Now known as Champions Point, the estate is offering opportunities for co-ownership as mentioned in a statement.

Situated at 2700 Point Drive in Highland Park, Illinois, the property is now providing limited co-ownership, with bidding starting at $1 million, plus 2 percent of annual expenses estimated at $25,000 per co-owner. Only one share is allowed per buyer, although individuals can bid for multiple weeks.

“It’s a chance to own a piece of history and unite sports enthusiasts through a unique co-ownership model,” stated Cooper.

Real estate investor John Cooper from the Chicago area acquired the 32,000-square-foot estate on Dec. 10 for $9.5 million, significantly lower than its original listing price of $29 million back in 2012, as reported by Mansion Global on Friday.

Built by Jordan in 1994, Champions Point encompasses 7.39 acres, featuring 9 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms, accommodating up to 20 guests.

The mansion includes a gated entrance with Jordan’s number 23, a regulation-sized basketball court, a circular infinity pool, and a trophy room. Exceptional amenities consist of a tennis court, luxury home theater, and a cigar lounge furnished with custom leather poker tables.

Co-owners can utilize the estate for hosting events like weddings, sports watch parties, and charity galas, subject to additional fees. Optional luxury add-ons such as private chefs, pre-arranged meals, and on-site entertainment are available at an extra cost.

“Our aim is to create a shared experience where co-owners can enjoy unmatched amenities and the sense of connection and community that comes with it. By preserving the property’s original design while integrating modern technology, we’re ensuring that Champions Point continues to be a place where extraordinary memories are made for years to come,” according to a statement.

To maintain the property’s exclusivity, strict privacy measures are enforced. While potential buyers were initially required to sign a nondisclosure agreement (NDA), the same requirement now applies to co-owners.

Co-owners and their guests are permitted to take photos and videos of the property, with restrictions enforced on these activities.

In addition, co-owners have the option to sell their shares in the future.
