Local law enforcement is investigating a Tesla Cybertruck that caught fire just outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday morning.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department announced on social media that the fire was extinguished and under investigation. The incident was reported around 8:40 a.m. PT, as per the Las Vegas Review Journal.
An eyewitness recorded the fire from inside the hotel lobby and shared it on X, mentioning that the vehicle exploded after pulling up outside. The video went viral on X and other platforms.
This incident is noteworthy as Tesla CEO and X owner Elon Musk has a close association with President-elect Donald Trump. Flight records indicate Musk’s frequent travels to and from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property in Florida. Recently, the NYT revealed that Musk has been residing in a cottage on the Mar-a-Lago premises.
