In August of 2020, Amy Tripp, an astrologer who goes by @starheal on social media, tweeted to her tens of thousands of Twitter followers that Kamala Harris would be running for President in 2024, because of the politician’s Saturn return, which occurs when Saturn is once again in the position it was when a person was born. While guessing that a vice presidential candidate was going to run for president in the next election cycle was a pretty safe bet, four years later, Tripp surprised the world when she correctly predicted that July 21 would be the date then-President Joe Biden would bow out of the race. Now, she has her eye on Donald Trump, and says that July 29 and Aug. 22 are the days that some “unfinished karma” of his will resolve itself.
Tripp, who calls herself “the internet’s most notorious astrologer,” posts daily on X, where she has nearly 124,000 followers. Her tweets are generally composed of vague messages that can be applied to a broad audience — things like “tomorrow is a tough day for relationships,” or, “you’re not behind, you’re unfolding right on time” — though she also wades into politics (a recent tweet included New York mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani’s birth chart and Tripp’s prediction that he’ll win the general election). In a video posted to X on July 19, Tripp turned her sights towards what’s next for President Trump.
If you’re praying for Trump’s downfall, Tripp says, she has good news. “Mercury is in retrograde and that means going back to the past, and all things resurfacing,” Tripp tells Rolling Stone before explaining the location of the planets in Trump’s astrological chart. “It’s happening in his 12th house of karma — secret enemies, the unseen. And most importantly, it’s going to conjunct Pluto the whole time.”
Though Tripp is an astrologer — not a psychic — she believes that the karmic resolution Trump’s birth chart dictates will be related to the case of Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein was a convicted sex offender who is reported to have died by suicide while in custody, according to a recently released memo by the Justice Department. Rumors of an alleged Epstein “client list” have long percolated and have even been stoked by figures such as Attorney General Pam Bondi, who once claimed the list was “sitting on my desk” before the Justice Department said the list doesn’t exist. Meanwhile, details of Trump and Epstein’s friendship continue to surface, with the Wall Street Journal releasing an alleged letter Trump wrote to Epstein on his birthday and CNN publishing photos of Epstein at Trump’s wedding to Marla Maples. Tripp notes that the Wall Street Journal story was released “when Mercury went into retrograde,” which happens three or four times a year.
In addition to Mercury being in retrograde, Tripp says Trump is experiencing a “nodal square” which occurs when a planet forms a 90-degree angle with a node in a person’s birth chart. This happens every nine or 10 years. “When this transit happens, you can expect major life shifts, breakdowns, old karma coming back for resolution, and past actions can boomerang,” Tripp explains in an X video. The last time this happened in Trump’s chart, she says, was 2016 when the Access Hollywood tape dropped, in which Trump infamously said “grab them by the pussy.”
For the record, Tripp is not a fan of Trump. Though she predicted he’d win the 2024 election, she voted for Harris. But she’s hopeful that damning information is going to be released regarding Trump and Epstein. “If something is going to happen, this is the time to watch,” Tripp says. In one way, this seems like a generally safe prediction to make — right-wingers are refusing to let go of the possibility of the alleged Epstein files being released, even as Speaker Mike Johnson sends the House of Representatives home early for the summer in order to avoid the release of said files and Trump himself calls his supporters’ preoccupation with the files “bullshit.” Despite Trump’s dismissals, news related to the alleged files continue to break., The House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed Ghislaine Maxwell, a longtime Epstein associate, and the Wall Street Journal reports that the Justice Department notified Trump his name was in the files (though it’s unclear in what context).
But Tripp isn’t staying vague with her prediction — she specifically points to July 29 and Aug. 22 as important dates in the potential unraveling of Trump’s presidency, because of the Mercurial retrograde in relation to the location of Pluto in Trump’s birth chart.
And that isn’t the only prediction she’s making. “[Secretary of Defense] Pete Hegseth is going to get fired in March,” she says confidently. “Kamala is going to run for governor of California and win. And [Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez] is going to run for New York Senator and win.”
Anything else? Well, Tripp says, she already knows who’s going to be next in the White House. “Gavin Newsom is going to win the presidency,” she says. The governor of California will run against Vice President J.D. Vance, according to Tripp. “Newsom’s chart looked really, really, really good. And J.D. Vance’s chart looked like trash.”
