Prince Harry marked his 40th birthday on Sunday with a flurry of well wishes from his family.
Notable among the well-wishers were his father, King Charles III, his brother, Prince William, and sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, who made surprising public remarks in celebration.
A celebratory message was posted on the royal family’s social media accounts, managed by King Charles’ office at Buckingham Palace.
“Wishing The Duke of Sussex a very happy 40th birthday today!,” read the caption of the post, accompanied by a 2018 photo of Prince Harry in Dublin, Ireland.

The Mirror previously reported that Harry was expected to receive an $8.5 million inheritance on his birthday from his late great-grandmother’s estate. This sum is larger than what Prince William received on his 40th birthday due to the latter’s position as heir to the British throne.
British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told Fox News Digital that this substantial inheritance may leave William feeling “disgruntled” following his brother’s recent public statements that have caused controversy within the monarchy.

“[He feels] Harry has been unsupportive, scathing, and hurtful towards the royal family,” Chard claimed. “On the other hand, Prince Harry will be thrilled to have received a significant inheritance as he has always felt inferior to Prince William.”
“King Charles will likely be relieved that Prince Harry is now financially secure for the time being and may not feel the need to publish further memoirs critical of the royal family,” Chard added.
