Pro wrestling legend Paul Heyman claims WWE is leading the way in pop culture

For over a year, WWE dominated the world of pro wrestling under the leadership of Paul “Triple” Levesque, the company’s chief content officer, ushering in a new era.

During this time, Cody Rhodes became the Undisputed WWE champion, Roman Reigns faced challenges within his Bloodline, Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan engaged in a lengthy feud for the Women’s World Championship, and Tiffany Stratton brought a fresh energy to the women’s division by winning Money in the Bank and cashing in. Additionally, WWE welcomed numerous new talents to its main and development rosters.

These were just some highlights in the wrestling world. WWE expanded its presence on Netflix and formed partnerships with various brands, including Hulk Hogan’s Real American Beer, the NBA, NHL, Cosm, and a collaboration with TNA Wrestling. The company is gearing up for WrestleMania season, starting with the Royal Rumble to determine new contenders for the championships.

WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman praised the company’s recent success, stating to Variety that WWE has become a major influence in pop culture.

“We’re no longer a niche market,” he remarked. “We’re no longer on the outskirts. We are driving pop culture, and with Roman Reigns as the top attraction and star of the industry, alongside his team, we are creating significant cultural impact. The future looks bright.”

WWE has attracted celebrities from various fields to its events, including Matthew McConaughey, Kai Cenat, Gabriel Iglesias, Danielle Fishel, Vanessa Hudgens, and Quavo. Notable appearances include NBA stars Jalen Brunson and Tyrese Haliburton engaging in a playful rivalry in the ring.

Hudgens, a dedicated fan, expressed her love for WWE, never missing a “Monday Night Raw” episode and tuning in on Netflix weekly.

The road to WrestleMania begins with the Royal Rumble, followed by the Elimination Chamber in March, leading to the highly anticipated WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas on April 19-20.
