A charming 10,000-square-foot estate in the woods of Nevada, near Lake Tahoe, sold at a discounted price of $33.5 million.
The property in Incline Village was initially listed for $49 million, as reported by The Wall Street Journal. However, the asking price was later reduced to $44 million in August.

The sellers of the property, Dennis Hart and Katherine Hart of First California Mortgage Company, were represented by Jean Merkelbach of Engel & Völkers. The buyer, from the San Francisco Bay Area, acquired the property along with its furnishings through Christine Perry of Christie’s International Real Estate Sereno.
Property records indicate that the Harts purchased the one-acre land in 1994 for $2.85 million. They demolished a 1940s home on the property and replaced it with a nine-bedroom mansion over a three-year period. Additionally, they renovated a boat house on the estate and connected it to the main home through a wine cellar, according to The WSJ.
The features of the home include an indoor saltwater pool, detailed log work, locally sourced stone, and a game room with a billiards table. The estate boasts a sandy beach, a steel pier with lifts, multiple buoys, and a beachside cabana, as described in the listing.
In a separate transaction, a property built by Steve Wynn on Lake Tahoe sold for a record $62 million in October. This property, covering about 12,700 square feet on five acres with 210 feet of sandy beach, is also located in Incline Village.
