Former Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin selected his Team of the tournament for the recently concluded 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan and Dubai. His playing XI included four players from the champion Indian team – Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Kuldeep Yadav, and Varun Chakaravarthy.
Kohli delivered outstanding performances with his 100* against Pakistan and 84 in the semifinal win over Australia. Iyer was the most consistent batter, scoring 243 runs at an average of 48.60 in the Champions Trophy.
Varun was the second leading wicket-taker with nine wickets, while Kuldeep had seven wickets in the tournament.
Ashwin’s openers were Rachin Ravindra and Ben Duckett. While Ravindra was the leading run-scorer, Duckett was third in the list.
Inglis and Miller were at No.5 and 6, Omarzai and Bracewell were the all-rounders, while Matt Henry was the specialist pacer in Ashwin’s team.
Ashwin also chose Mitchell Santner as the 12th Man for his Team of the 2025 Champions Trophy.

ICC announced their official team of the tournament for the 2025 Champions Trophy on March 10. The team had five Indian players, with Kohli, Iyer, and Varun making the cut.
The differences between Ashwin’s and ICC’s lineup were the inclusion of KL Rahul and Mohammad Shami in the ICC team instead of Kuldeep. ICC also selected Ibrahim Zadran and excluded Duckett as the opener. Glenn Phillips and Mitchell Santner were in the ICC team instead of Inglis and Miller.
