Record Numbers of Americans Anticipated to Travel This July 4th Holiday


Millions of people are already starting to travel for the Fourth of July.AAA says a record-setting 72.2 million Americans are expected to travel at least 50 miles from home over the holiday period, which runs from now through next Sunday, July 6.AAA predicts nearly 62 million of those travelers will be hitting the road, which will be a new record. Nearly six million Americans are projected to fly this week, which would also be an ew record.The other five million will travel by bus, train or cruise!While the price of gas has gone up, they are still the lowest they’ve been since 2021. The current average price in Cincinnati is $2.95, which is the cheapest within the Greater Cincinnati area.Covington is averaging $2.98.The highest average gas prices is in Dearborn County, Indiana, with an overage of $3.15.If you’re heading out on the roads, AAA says the best way to beat holiday traffic is to drive in the morning, before noon.The worst time to be on the road is between 2-6 p.m.
