Antonio Pierce is out, and a coaching veteran is in for the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Raiders have reportedly secured Pete Carroll as their next head coach.
After parting ways with Josh McDaniels in 2023, Pierce took over as the interim head coach for the Raiders, leading them to a 5-4 record in the final nine games.

However, with a disappointing 4-13 season due to rough quarterback play, Pierce’s one-season tenure as head coach without the interim label ended.
Vegas undergoes a complete overhaul as they part ways with general manager Tom Telesco shortly after letting go of Pierce.
Carroll has reportedly signed a three-year deal with a team option for a fourth.
At 74 years old when the NFL season begins, Carroll comes to the Raiders after serving as an advisor for the Seahawks following a 14-season tenure as their head coach, which included a Super Bowl win.
