RFK Jr. assures he won’t ban cheeseburgers, but will emphasize health concerns: ‘They’re my boss’s favorite’

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President Donald Trump’s pick to lead the Department of Health and Human Services, stated during his confirmation hearing before the Senate Finance Committee that his goal of making “America Healthy Again” will not involve removing items like cheeseburgers or Twinkies from store shelves, as his boss has a fondness for fast food.

Kennedy emphasized the importance of using the NIH and FDA to research the connection between various food additives and chronic diseases so that Americans can be better informed.

“However, I don’t intend to restrict people’s food choices. If you enjoy a cheeseburger, a McDonald’s cheeseburger, or a Diet Coke like my boss, you should have the freedom to choose them,” he stated, sparking laughter from the audience. Kennedy added, “If you prefer Hostess Twinkies, that should also be an option, but you should be aware of the impact on your health and your family.”
