Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone announced on Thursday that Operation RU Pharm, an extensive narcotics investigation, resulted in seven arrests.
The investigation spanned several months and revealed a private social media network used by Rutgers University students for buying and selling drugs.
An alumni of Rutgers created the network where drug distributors could post menus and connect with buyers from the university community.
Students affiliated with Rutgers were permitted to join the network, view menus, and contact distributors for drug transactions.
The sting operation seized marijuana, LSD, cocaine, mushrooms, Adderall, Xanax, cash, and a firearm.
