Saquon Barkley breaks Eagles’ single-game rushing record in dominant victory against Rams

Saquon Barkley, the Philadelphia Eagles star, made history with his outstanding performance in a 37-20 victory over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night.

Barkley’s impressive performance included rushing for 255 yards and two touchdowns, setting a new record for the most rushing yards in a single game by an Eagles player. He finished with the ninth most rushing yards in a single game, just four yards shy of Jamaal Charles’ record of 259 yards. Adrian Peterson holds the overall record with 296 yards.

Barkley, who has been on fire this season, provided the spark that Philadelphia needed. He scored a 70-yard touchdown early in the second half to energize the team.

He sealed the game in the fourth quarter with an impressive 72-yard run after receiving a handoff from Hurts.

Barkley also contributed with four catches for 47 yards.

Kenneth Gainwell added a touchdown in the third quarter to extend their lead.

Jalen Hurts completed 15 out of 22 passes for 179 yards and threw a touchdown pass to A.J. Brown, who had six receptions for 109 yards.

Despite scoring a 2-yard touchdown pass to Demarcus Robinson in the third quarter, Los Angeles could not keep up with the Eagles’ offense led by Barkley. The Rams missed crucial opportunities and fell short against a dominating performance.

Los Angeles’ veteran quarterback, Matthew Stafford, threw for 243 yards on 24-of-36 passing, while Puka Nacua led the team with nine receptions for 117 yards.

The Eagles (9-2) extended their lead in the NFC East over the Washington Commanders, creating a two-win gap between the two teams. The Commanders lost to the Dallas Cowboys earlier in the day.
