“Mythic Quest,” the Apple TV+ workplace comedy about the making of a popular online roleplaying game, is coming to an end after four seasons.
The fourth season finale of the show, which originally aired on March 26, will now serve as the series finale, with a new version premiering on Apple TV+ next week, featuring a new ending.
Fans of TV shows are no strangers to the disappointment of cancellations, but it can be a relief when creators are able to give their story a proper conclusion with a final season, TV movie, or additional scenes. Apple’s decision to edit a new ending into an already aired episode is quite unusual.
According to a statement given to Variety, executive producers Megan Ganz, David Hornsby, and Rob McElhenney shared that they were able to make one last update to the final episode with Apple’s approval, allowing them to bid farewell to the show properly.
