Sky Sports takes home three awards at the 2024 Broadcast Sport Awards, with Real Talk podcast receiving special recognition.

Sky Sports received three awards at the 2024 Broadcast Sport Awards, with Real Talk being named the best podcast of the year.

The series, hosted by Miriam Walker-Khan, delved into health and well-being topics experienced by athletes in various sports.

Sky Sports also took home the prize for Broadcast Sport TV Moment of the Year for their coverage of Luke Littler becoming the youngest World Darts Championship finalist.

The award for Best Visual Storytelling Using Data and Insight went to Sky Sports F1 for the Ghost Car feature used to compare drivers’ performance.

The Real Talk podcast covered a range of lesser-discussed sporting topics such as obsessive-compulsive disorder, pelvic floor health, motherhood, and retirement.

Littler’s achievement in reaching the World Darts Championship final at 16 years old created a buzz in the sports world, with his historic semi-final win over Rob Cross being a standout moment.

Sky Sports F1’s Karun Chandhok expressed gratitude for the recognition, acknowledging the team’s innovative efforts and creative use of the studio.

Other winners included Michael Johnson and Gabby Logan for Pundit of the Year and Presenter of the Year, respectively, and the BBC’s coverage of the women’s FA Cup final for Sports Production of the Year.

Sky Sports+ has officially launched and will be available on Sky TV, NOW streaming service, and the Sky Sports app, giving customers access to more live sports at no additional cost this year. Learn more here.
