APPOMATTOX, Va. (WDBJ) – What happens when a team of Central Virginia so-called horror nerds writes a musical and fills the woods with movie monsters and fake blood?
The end result is “Camp Crystal Lake, The Musical.”
The parody was created in Central Virginia, and is back onstage at the outdoor Wolfbane Performing Arts Center in Appomattox.
Guests are treated to free pre-show horror trivia, food trucks, themed photo ops, and the option to brave the interactive audience blood Splatter Zone, where audience members might want to re-consider before wearing a white shirt.
Created by the Wolfbane Productions team in 2022, Camp Crystal Lake sold out its first run and has earned a national cult following.
