Grey cats do not get enough love, and that’s a hill I’ll die on. Everybody loves to see a rare split-face colored cat, or a Maine Coon who looks like a garden fairy, but there’s something special about grey cats. Classics are classics for a reason.
Plus, grey cats just have such gorgeous eyes. For example, on Monday, June 30th, one grey cat caught everybody’s attention. Her green eyes are truly some of the prettiest you’ll ever seen in your life! You’ll never want to look away:
Telly the Cat is way too beautiful. Grey cats in general are very cute, but she’s on another level. Those eyes!

Telly is a year old, and she’s a rescue! She was found with a few others when she was very little, only a week or so old! There were immediately some things that her future mom noticed about her:

Those incredibly green eyes.

She has more toes than normal.

Her legs were a little twisty and awkward.
She spent a while being bottle fed, and when she got to a vet, she was diagnosed with a genetic condition called “radial hypoplasia,” also called “twisty cat syndrome.” Essentially, there’s a deformity in her radius bones; they’re not as long as they should be. It causes the legs to bend at an awkward angle.
Even so, she’s not letting it get her down. Did you see that stretch? More importantly, have you ever seen this gorgeous girl at sunset?
Though it’s not confirmed, Telly looks like she may be a Russian Blue: a shorthaired cat breed with blue-grey fur and striking green eyes. These cats are actually pretty sought after, so to stumble upon one in need if rescue is very special. Her mom has done an excellent job!
Cats with radial hypoplasia can live long and happy lives with proper care. Though the condition usually leads to some mobility issues, it isn’t usually painful except for in severe cases. However, regular vet checkups for signs of arthritis or worsening issues can help mitigate potential problems.
Telly has no problems. Eyes like that are enough to carry her through life nicely!
