Tesla and Rivian appear to have reached a resolution in a lawsuit where Tesla accused Rivian of poaching employees and stealing trade secrets.
Bloomberg reports that Tesla informed a California judge that the two companies have come to a “conditional” settlement, with the expectation of dismissing the lawsuit by December 24.
Tesla initially filed the lawsuit in 2020, scheduled for trial in March, claiming that Rivian was luring Tesla employees and persuading them to take confidential information when they left the company.
In response, Rivian sought to dismiss the lawsuit, stating it was a tactic to hinder their progress and intimidate Tesla employees considering leaving the company.
TechCrunch’s request for comment from Tesla went unanswered, while a Rivian representative stated the company does not provide comments on legal matters.
