A Texas pizzeria’s tip jar was stolen, leading to a viral social media post that inadvertently uncovered another victim.
Stone Oven Pizza in Wichita Falls posted on Facebook, offering an auction to replace the missing tip money.
The thieves left behind a cowboy hat, which the restaurant owners decided to use for the auction.

“Last night, our crew ran into an incident where some teenagers stole the tips out of the tip jar… Luckily, they left behind this hat. We’re not fans of hats, but we would like to open an auction. The highest bidder by Tuesday afternoon will win this cowboy hat!” the post said.
All auction proceeds will be split among the employees who lost their tips.
The restaurant later discovered that the hat was stolen from a man’s truck by the same teenagers.
