I test MagSafe accessories and chargers all year round, but there’s no better time to scope out your next tech accessory than just in time for summer travels. And if you’re jetsetting around the globe (or even close to home), I’ve got the perfect multifunctional charging accessory for you.Â

From New York to London to France and beyond, this 5-in-1 charger from Statik is stacked with features to power up your favorite tech gadgets no matter where you are in the world (mostly).Â
Staik’s 5-in-1 charger is a 10,000mAh capacity power bank and charger combo. It’ll run you about $70, but it includes a MagSafe charging pad, two built-in charging cables (USB-C and Lightning), a foldable wall plug plus three adapters for charging in over 200 countires, a USB-C and USB-A port, and on/off switch and batter indicator, kickstand and carrying loop.Â

It’s compact enough to fit in an average pocket, and is perfectly compact for carry-on or tote bags. It’s also equipped with overcharge and short circuit protection, so you can confidently charge your favorite devices (up to 5) in one go. There’s also a 2-year warranty if you purchase from Statik, so if you’re on the fence about a travel charger, there’s some reassurance.Â

The MagSafe pad has a 15W design, perfect for charging phones and earbuds. The built-in USB-C cable offers 15W, and the Lightning cable offers 12W. Despite its brick-esque design, it isn’t as heavy as I anticipated it to be, and I love that the carrying loop makes it easy to clip this charger to my tote bag. As a Gen-Z woman in tech, I do wish Statik offered some fun color options like Anker and TwelveSouth often do, but I also can’t be too judgmental about fairly priced, no-fuss tech.Â

And for someone who didn’t have a multicharger with interchangeable adapters for globe-trotting, this is a great investment in my travel tech collection.Â

When I tested this charger from Statik, I was pretty impressed. The design is impeccably thoughtful, as it comes with plugs, cables, and more, so you can charger multiple devices in multiple ways. I was able to charge my iPhone and AirPods Pro 2 at the same time via the charging pad and lightning cable, using Statik as a power bank. I could also pop it into a plug if I need to boost the battery pack itself and add more devices to charge.Â

My only complaints with this travel charger are that I wish the built-in cables were longer and perhaps even retractable, like the USB-C cable in the Baseus Nomos 5-in-1 charging station, and I wish there was a dedicated Apple Watch charger.Â
These two upgrades would make this option truly unbeatable for me, but it’s still a highly functional product, especially if you’re not getting paid to overanalyze products like me. Plus, at $70, the price is great, especially since popular chargers like Anker’s 3-in-1 MagSafe charger sell for $110, and it doesn’t offer built-in plugs or cables.Â
ZDNET’s buying adviceÂ
If you’re a frequent traveler, the Statik 5-in-1 charger is a great option to have on hand, especially if you vacation around the world. Thanks to its multiple adapter options, it’s also a functional option for frequent business travelers or those on the go.Â
But if you already own other 3-in-1 MagSafe chargers or similar multi-chargers, it may not be worth purchasing another unless you’re specifically looking for built-in plugs or interchangeable adapters for other countries.Â
