Thriving in Health: Unlock Your Best Life with Denise Austin

Hi, I’m Deirdre Fitzpatrick and my Instagram feed is just filled with fitness influencers. This week on the Dying Desk podcast, I’m interviewing somebody who I would say is one of the original fitness influencers, Denise Austin. Denise Austin is a workout pioneer. She was the first fitness correspondent on the Today Show. She had a daily 30 minute show for more than two decades. She sold 25 million VHS tapes and DVDs, written 12 bestsellers. And she did all of that while raising a family, while also raising America’s heart rate and improving our health. On this, trying to ask how Denise Cold called her way into becoming the first fitness reporter on the Today Show, how that opportunity turned into that daily TV exercise show that again air for more than 20 years. How she still keeps up that famous energy and positivity. Why she still believes 30 minutes a day is the key to aging well, and how her daughter Katie is following in her footsteps as a Gen-Z and millennial fitness influencer. Dying to ask on Apple or Spotify or you can watch my episode with Denise Austin right here. Thanks for listening. You’ll find even more episodes of Time to Ask on Apple, Spotify, and Pantene. Take us on the go and don’t forget to leave us a rating, a review, and please share the show.
