The Biden administration revealed that China was responsible for a significant hack on the Treasury Department, accessing unclassified documents and government employees’ workstations.
China experts are urging action against adversarial espionage following a year filled with hacking incidents across government agencies.
“The recent breach by China should not be a surprise. The CCP has been increasingly intrusive in our homeland and networks without facing consequences,” said Rep. John Moolenaar, R-Mich., chairman of the House China Select Committee.
