President-elect Trump has selected businessman and philanthropist Warren A. Stephens to be the U.S. ambassador to the Court of St. James, which essentially means he will be the country’s representative to the U.K.
“Over the past 38 years, Warren has led his company, Stephens Inc., as president, chairman, and CEO, building a successful financial services firm while also contributing generously to his community as a philanthropist,” Trump announced on Truth Social. “Warren has always aspired to serve the United States full-time, and I am delighted that he now has the opportunity to do so as the top Diplomat, representing the U.S.A. to one of America’s closest and most beloved Allies.”
Trump then extended his congratulations to Warren Stephens, his wife Harriet, their three children – Miles, John, and Laura, and their six grandchildren.
This announcement comes as Trump continues to fill various positions in his administration.

According to the Stephens Inc. website, Trump’s nominee currently holds the positions of chairman, president, and CEO at the privately owned diversified financial services firm based in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Stephens graduated from Washington and Lee University with a BA in economics and later obtained an MBA from Wake Forest University.

Under Stephens’ guidance, the company has expanded into key U.S. markets and established offices in London, U.K., and Frankfurt, Germany.
Stephens has also held the position of chairman of the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) District Conduct Committee and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Dillard’s Inc.

In terms of civic and community engagement, Stephens has chaired various boards, including the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts Foundation Board, the Episcopal Collegiate School Foundation Board, and has been on the Board of Directors for the Central Arkansas Boys and Girls Club, among other roles.
The Senate will need to confirm Stephens’ nomination.
