Most modern routers make it easy to configure a guest network. Here’s how to do it:

Step 1: Log into your router’s admin console using your router’s IP address.

If you don’t know your router’s IP address…

  • On Windows: Search for “Command Prompt” in the Start menu and type in ipconfig to find your router’s IP.
  • On Mac: Go to System Settings > Network > Wi-Fi network > Advanced to locate your router’s IP address.

Step 2: Open your browser and enter your router’s IP address to access the login page. Use default login credentials or check the router for login details.

Step 3: Look for the Guest Network setting to create a separate network with a unique password.
