Medium and Spiritual Coach, Jaelithe Leigh-Brown from Nawton has been able to communicate with spirit, guides, angels and other unseen phenomena since she was a little girl.
She’s always had a knack for art too – being the daughter of an art teacher, but would often paint things that other people couldn’t see.
Jaelithe said she has recently faced health challenges and has come back to her spiritual art, combined with her more practical journalism roots to help process the situations and associated emotions. The art and journaling has helped her so much she’s now running a Soul Canvas class at Helmsley Arts Centre.
The first one is Sunday July 27from 10am until 12 noon in the Morley Room and more classes are scheduled from September.
Jaelithe said: “A good question always brings about a good answer. That’s why I love journaling. A pen and paper can transform your mindset, reframe situations and help you focus on the lessons learned.
“The spiritual art I create isn’t about using the perfect colour, technique or getting the perspective right. It’s about tuning into your inner voice and guides, to put what you need onto paper. Sometimes this can be a whole bunch of scribbles – and that’s fine. You end up being able to express what’s going on in your inner world. The process is a beautiful remedy to having too much to do and think about. You end up feeling so much calmer and have clarity for your next steps.
“We’re going to look at the theme of inner voice in July. So, it’ll be a fun mix of an energy clearing on the throat chakra, precious writing time to answer guided journaling prompts and then creating a piece of spiritual art to help participants unleash their inner voice.”
The workshop costs £35 which includes materials and refreshments. Participants just need a notebook and pen – and to turn up with an open mind, ready for some fun and transformation.
