Vice President Vance reaffirms White House’s ‘ambitious’ goal

Vice President JD Vance stated that the Trump administration is fulfilling its promise regarding the nationwide U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids targeting criminal migrants.

Vance, speaking with Fox News host Sean Hannity, mentioned that the White House aims to remove criminal migrants at a rate of nearly 2,000 per day.

“Considering that we have over 20 million illegal aliens in the United States, it is imperative that we remove these individuals and regain control of our border,” he said during an interview on “Hannity” from the nation’s capital.

The number of migrants arriving at the southern border has significantly decreased by over 60% since Trump assumed office last week.

Data obtained by Fox News Digital shows a drop from roughly 7,200 migrant encounters in Trump’s first seven days to over 20,000 in former President Biden’s last seven days.

“We are determined to further reduce this number,” Vance said regarding the more than 60% decline, emphasizing the importance of policy and the consequences of elections.

Migrants are being repatriated to their home countries, including Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Guatemala, and Ecuador.

“The message is clear: ‘Do not attempt to enter the United States illegally,'” said U.S. Border Patrol Special Operations Supervisor Hamid Nikseresht after more than 80 illegal migrants were loaded onto a C-17 military plane and sent back to Ecuador from El Paso, Texas.

Vance criticized the hysteria from the left regarding the mass deportation efforts, highlighting Trump’s electoral victory and mandate.

“He is now taking action,” Vance, the former Ohio senator, stated regarding Trump’s immigration crackdown. “This is how democratic politics operate in our country, and we should be grateful for that.”

Vance made a startling revelation about the arrests of criminal migrants, acknowledging that in some instances, the U.S. government had information about their identities and locations.

“We simply needed to act and remove them from the country,” Vance remarked.

“We were aware of their violent criminal pasts. However, it was not until about eight days ago, when Donald Trump resumed his presidency, that we took action. This should deeply concern the American people,” Vance added.
